MEET DAVID

Origins

Globally sought-after entertainer and pop/soul singer-songwriter DAVID DAVIS is proving himself worthy of becoming part of Hollywood’s next generation of elite recording artists, songwriters and performers. An "electric energy on stage" as described by the legendary Quincy Jones, Davis creates an unforgettable musical experience for his audience.

Davis’s song, “EVERYTHING IT TOOK TO GET TO YOU,” recorded by Broadway star and Pop Artist Ben Platt, ranked #1 on the New Pop Song Chart, #2 on the Pop Chart, and #5 on the All Song Chart. His debut album, THE LONG & SHORT OF IT, was a collection of songs about “the romantic narrative we are sold early on.” Singles from this album were streamed millions of times, and were used over 1.1 billion times on social media. Davis’s sophomore album, MEMORY LANE: THE ALBUM, is said to be a progression of that notion by exploring “the ways in which we remember the beauty and tragedy of love that’s been lost”. Davis’s lyricism has proven him to be a dynamic and passionate artist that beautifully captures the essence of difficult, yet worthy feelings of artistic expression.

For as long as he can recall, Davis has been focused on pursuing a career in music. He attended the nationally renowned Belmont University studying in their music program. It was during those formative years Davis learned to perfect his piano and performance skills, drawing inspiration from the likes of Stevie Wonder, Donny Hathaway, and Janelle Monae. Originally hailing from Chicago, Illinois, Davis was raised alongside his eight siblings. Davis often stood out capturing attention by belting out Motown classics, always finding his way to a stage. When he turned 3 years-old, Davis started learning piano and violin before he started singing in the children’s gospel choir around 4 years-old like many of Davis’s musical inspirations before him.

Davis has recorded with many legendary producers such as RedOne (Usher, Lady Gaga, MIKA) to Ryan Tedder (Beyoncé, Adele). Additionally, Davis’s voice, arrangements, and productions have been featured on chart-topping records, commercials for major brands and networks such as MTV, VH1 and NBC. Not one to be satisfied, Davis went on to play to sold-out clubs and festivals, both as the headliner and as support for the likes of Jon Bellion and Dave Barnes. Davis has performed on 700+ stages including the Governor’s Ball for the 64th Primetime Emmy Awards, Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club in London, a 73-show residency at Quincy Jones’ club Q’s in Dubai, and various virtual shows singing with stars such as Leona Lewis.

Davis’s philanthropic passions include raising awareness for organizations such as Child Restoration International, which rescues and restores victims of child sex trafficking and exploitation, Global Banjara Foundation Trust, which helps underprivileged children receive an education, and the Black Artist Fund that helps finance black artists projects to combat systemic inequity in art.

In his free time, Davis enjoys cooking, camping, traveling and extreme trampolining. Davis lives in Los Angeles with his Black Lab named Ellie and is currently celebrating the release of his sophomore album, MEMORY LANE: THE ALBUM. The stage is now set for Davis to show the diverse angles of his talent on an even grander scale.

I can’t wait for you all to witness what makes David Davis a “Little Mo’ Betta” and experience his electric energy on stage. Dubai, you don’t want to miss this cat because he’s got the moves AND the grooves.

Soulful, vocal powerhouse (and expert showman) David Davis seized the opportunity to work over new listeners by employing tons of crowd interaction, encouraging everyone to sing and dance along throughout. A perfect artist for kicking off one hell of a party, he will, in all likelihood, bypass the local stage in no time; he’s just one proper hit away from becoming a radio fixture.
